My crouching figure peering through the night
Watching the lamplights but hidden from their glare
Each subject chosen by the worms command
Kicking and screaming I drag them to my lair
I collect them by its demand
Dissecting bodies to understand
I confine them to mutilate
Merging species to create
To my root cellar is where they always go
Each of them shackled, muffled and prostrate
Grabbing the scalpel their pleas go unheard
For down in the wet earth is where I must operate
Invoking the worm
It needs, it wants, it craves
Servant to the worm
To fuse, to make, to form
Merging with the worm
I slice, I break, I gouge
Torture for the worm
We live to raise the anthro-annelid
Invoking the worm
Slicing the flesh I vivisect my bounty
It's in my brain, it tells me where to cut
Remove the viscera, expose their inner selves
The cavity carved out I pour the worms into their guts
I collect them by its demand
Dissecting bodies to understand
I deform them to satiate
The human worm hybrid is what I must create
I'm kicking my own ass for somehow missing this when it released. Expertly arranged death metal with kick drums that could demolish a high-rise. zirtonic
An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
